The Village Hall is situated in Back Lane close to the centre of the village. It was built in 1912 on land now owned by the Horsmonden Parish Council.
The front of the Hall was extended and remodelled in 2008 to provide an entrance hall, modern toilets including disabled and baby changing facilities, a stainless steel commercial kitchen and disabled access. In the longer term there is the possibility of further modernisation to the rear part of the Hall.
A committee of Trustees manages the day-to-day running of the Hall which is a registered charity. The licensed seating capacity is a maximum of 120 when chairs are set out in an "audience" format, but the space available reduces if people are seated at tables.
The Hall is available to hire for meetings, social events, cultural and recreational activities, including children’s parties.
Activities taking place include Parish Council Meetings, Cheeky Monkeys Mums and toddlers’ group, Children’s Dance Classes, Art Group, Pilates, Yoga and Short Mat Bowls.
Hire of the Hall includes use of the kitchen, glasses, crockery and cutlery. For hire rates, availability, and bookings please phone 01892 723955.
