Local Government Reorganisation (LGR)

The Government has asked councils in Kent to submit proposals to them for the LGR and KCC are looking to gather the views of residents and stakeholders to help inform this. LGR involves abolishing all the current councils in Kent (Medway Council, Kent County Council and the twelve district or borough councils) and replacing them with 'unitary' councils that will deliver all council services within their area.
