South East Water - Temporary Road Closure - B2162 Maidstone Road, Horsmonden - 21st September 2026

Due to works planned to be undertaken by South East Water, it will be necessary to close part of B2162 Maidstone Road, Horsmonden, from 21st September 2026 with estimated completion by 22nd September 2026.

B2162 Maidstone Road, Horsmonden, will be closed in the vicinity of number 3 Gaffords Bridge Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Maidstone Road, The Heath, Brenchley Road, Horsmonden Road, High Street, Brenchley Road, Chestnut Lane, Crittenden Road, A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road, A228 Whetsted Road, A228 Branbridges Road, A228 Branbridges Ind Est Roundabout, A228 Hale Street By Pass, B2015 Maidstone Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Claygate, B2162 Maidstone Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow frame and cover reinstatement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by South East Water.
